Mykonos Beach Hopping Day Tour

Mykonos has a coastline of more than a dozen distinct beaches, each with a different character — some sheltered and calm, some open to the meltemi wind, some crowded with sunbeds and bars, others barely signed and easy to have almost to yourself. This one-day guided tour uses a private minibus to move between four carefully selected beaches in sequence, starting with the morning calm at Agios Sostis on the north coast, an undeveloped sandy cove with no umbrellas for hire and no road noise. From there the route moves to the more sheltered southern shores as the afternoon wind picks up, with stops at Psarou and Platis Gialos, both of which have water-sports rentals and lunch tavernas. The final stop in late afternoon is at Paraga, where the water is clear turquoise over a sandy bottom. Between beach stops, the guide points out the distinctive Myconian dry-stone walls and windmill lines that define the island's interior landscape. Mykonos's beach season runs from late April through October, with July and August being the busiest and most expensive months; late May and early September offer good weather with noticeably fewer visitors. Bring reef shoes if you prefer rocky entries and a small dry bag for phone and valuables on boat excursions. The meltemi wind can make northern beaches choppy from midday, which is why the tour sequence runs north-to-south as the day progresses.
